Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has acknowledged the world champions must continue putting in the “maximum effort” to stay at the front of the field into the European season.


The Maranello-based squad put its wretched start to the season in Melbourne behind it with two dominant victories in both Malaysia and Bahrain.


But with both BMW and McLaren confident of making progress with new developments on their cars from next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix, Domenicali insists his team must not underestimate the challenge ahead.


“We're approaching the Spanish GP with a maximum effort, keeping our feet on the ground: we were not depressed after the first race and we are not euphoric after Bahrain,” he said.
