Romain Grosjean has vowed to help Kimi Raikkonen as much as possible in the race for the 2012 F1 title.

Raikkonen sits third in the standings with six races left to go and is 45 points behind Fernando Alonso, despite the fact he has yet to win a race since returning to the sport this season.

The Lotus ace has six podium finishes to his name and has built a championship challenge based on his consistent results, and has impressed many with the way in which he has performed after two seasons away in the World Rally Championship.

Speaking ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, Grosjean said he would now back his team-mate in his bid for the title given that he himself couldn't secure the crown and that he would let the Finn through on track if it was beneficial to his title bid.
