The Italian media is still digesting the thought of Kimi Räikkönen going to rally paths. Auto Sprint interviewed Kimi's co-driver Kaj Lindström.

– Arctic Lapland -rally in the end of January offers us a good chance to practice. We drove there a year ago and the route is mainly the same. We have pace notes and we can use them. It's a good place to make comparisons and get to know the new car. Above all it will be a good dress reherseal for Sweden's WRC-rally where our adventure really begins, Lindström says.

Lindström is also assured of the formula champion's skills as a rally driver.

– Kimi immediately understands the car's reactions. It's something that he has naturally inbuilt in his DNA. I was astonished over how fast he was right from the beginning and I was very pleased by how correctly he chose the driving lines.

– The biggest difficulty will be reading the pace notes correctly and listening but that's completely normal. It's the most difficult thing for all rally drivers. With Kimi I use a different system than I used with Tommi Mäkinen. Tommi used a system that was based on the radius of the corner ahead while Kimi again uses a system that is popular these days, numbers from 1-6 from a slow to the fastest corner, Lindström explained.
