Some reports have emerged suggesting that Michael Schumacher has been blamed for Kimi Raikkonen's poor result in Malaysia.

A number of news agencies have reported that the seven-time world champion was responsible for successor Kimi Raikkonen losing valuable points after he obeyed instructions from the German, who now works as an adviser to the Scuderia drivers.

Schumacher is siad to have made the call for sending Raikkonen out on full wet tyres on a dry track after his first pit-stop. The Finn finished 14th and failed to garner any points for the second race running.

All other cars used softer Bridgestone tyres, with reports claiming that the German’s decision cost his team around 20 seconds per lap.

He will not attend the next Grand Prix in China, possibly as a result of an inquest into the team’s poor start. Last year’s world championship runner-up Felipe Massa is also yet to get off the mark.
