Domenicali: Kimi still in contention

Kimi Raikkonen has been going through a dry-spell in the last couple of races, but Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali is confident in the Fin's ability to challenge for race wins again.

The last time Raikkonen won a race was back in April when he took the honours at Barcelona.
After an engine failure retired him from the Valencia Grand Prix he has moved down into third position, 13 points behind Lewis Hamilton.

However, Domenicali is adamant his driver will rise to the top again.

"For me it doesn't represent a problem," he told Gazzetta dello Sportr.

"He'll react, he'll soon be strong again, he knows how to keep away from criticisms."

Raikkonen is not the only person to blame for his performances. He has mentioned that he is not completely satisfied with the Ferrari's handling performance.

"He isn't happy with the way the car enters corners," he added. "He would like it more aggressive, and this influences him. It's up to us to carry on giving him a hand."

With 60 points still available before the end of the season Raikkonen still has every opportunity to challenge and possibly win the Driver's Championship.
