Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen says he has no interest in racing for anyone but Ferrari and wants to spend the rest of his career there.

The 28-year-old Finn pipped long-time championship leader Lewis Hamilton at the post to win the title in dramatic fashion on the last day of the season.

"Ferrari will be my last team, I'm not interested in going anywhere else," said Raikkonen.

"It suits me. I have two years on my contract and it may not be the last."

Raikkonen was signed by Ferrari in 2006 to fill the gap left by Michael Schumacher's retirement, but it was rivals McLaren who dominated most of the season, particularly with the remarkable rivalry between Hamilton and team-mate Fernando Alonso.

For a long time it seemed debutant Hamilton was in line to win the title, but his luck ran out towards the end of the season, allowing Raikkonen to nip in and snatch the title.
As well as all the on-track events, the spying row involving McLaren and Ferrari added to the teams' rivalry.

But not even the last twist of McLaren challenging the result of the final race of the season in Brazil could deny Raikkonen the title.

Few drivers have ever found themselves thrust into the spotlight in quite the way Hamilton was by his success, unprecedented for a newcomer.
And Raikkonen suggested that the 22-year-old's lack of experience may have played a part in his end-of-season slump.

"Hamilton made a mistake in China and then had something wrong with the gearbox, or whatever, in Brazil," he said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

"We won it fair and square. He would say it wasn't pressure that got to him, but it wasn't an easy thing for him to do. Everyone is under pressure."

Since the end of the season, the world champion has kept a low profile, letting his rivals dominate the F1 gossip columns - and he is clearly happy to have it that way.

"I wouldn't say winning has changed my life but it is good to get what I have always dreamed of.

"If there is focus on Lewis getting prizes and Michael Schumacher testing with us, or where Fernando Alonso is going, I'm happy. I have a nice quiet life.

"I've got the trophy they probably all wanted. I'd rather take the world title than any other prize."
